Levels Of Membership Friends of the Source        $100.00     Yearly Annual Newsletter Monthly Email updates Friend of the Source Ecovillage will sign Membership Agreement and Covenant Exploring Members            $100.00    *6 Months The Exploring Member Phase is a trial period of 6 months where you get to learn about the Source Farm Ecovillage and its members and we get an opportunity to learn more about you.  This period also allows you to meet the requirements that are necessary for you to progress to becoming a full member of the Source Farm Ecovillage. Exploring Member Requirements: Review and Sign Agreement/Covenant Submit commitment fee of $100 Complete required readings/studies Work a required 20 hours (These hours will be deducted from the total Source Hours required.) Source Hours         Required: 20 Source Hours You can obtain Source Hours Credits by: Signing up for a Work Party Working on a Committee Project/Research Attend Non Source Farm Workshop (Request Approval prior Workshop attendance.) During the period you are required to select a Buddy/Sponsor (Full Member) that will aid you through the membership process and speak on your behalf in the Membership selection process. Exploring Members Receive: Annual newsletter Email updates Calendar of events Can sit in on council and committee meetings (You will not be allowed to vote during these meetings) Exploring Members will sign Membership Agreement and Covenant Submit Resume and Bio Reading Materials *If this process takes you more than 6 months to complete it will be necessary to ask for an extension from the Member Committee.  This should be done in writing.     Applying Members            $500.00         9 Month   per Individual Applying Member Requirements: Submit Level 1 Application/Letter of Intention Submit Resume and Bio Visit the Source Farm Ecovillage in Jamaica within 9 months period This visit will allow you to get a site tour of the Ecovillage and experience Jamaica.  We understand that this is a very important commitment and we want you to do all your research and evaluation before moving to the next phase of a Investing Member. Complete the following workshops: Living and Learning the Ecovillage Way  Consent Process  Conflict Resolution  Facilitation  Jamaican History and Culture (Online) Ecovillage Reading List Work a required 60 hours Source Hours         Required: 60 Source Hours You can obtain Source Hours Credits by: Signing up for a Work Party Working on a Committee Project/Research Attend Non Source Farm Workshop (Request Approval prior Workshop attendance.) Applying member has signed Membership Agreement and Covenant Gives the Board feedback on their Applying Membership experience Receive comments from the Board and membership on the membership process Accepts the decision of the Board (with membership input) regarding your involvement with Source Ecovillage, including a recommendation: Notifies the Board of their decision to either withdraw from membership consideration, or, proceed with an application for Investing Membership Agree to participate to some extent in Source activities as a basis of Applying membership Exploring Members Receive: Annual Newsletter Monthly Email updates Calendar of Events Can sit in on council and committee meetings (You will not be allowed to vote during these meetings) 2 Day Free accommodation on site visit the Source Farm Ecovillage within 6-9 month of Applying Membership phase (Based on availability) Visitor Information Pack 10% discount on Classes at Source Farm Jamaica Full Member                $17,000 to $120,000 Full Members can live and enjoy Source Ecovillage's breath-taking scenery in St. Thomas, Jamaica.  Take part in creating a fully functioning village where you can live, learn and teach each other and our children. As we take full responsibility for developing our culture, our spirit and our physical environment. Annual Newsletter Monthly Email updates Discount on Source Services and Classes Live at Source Ecovillage all year round for 5 years.  *After 5 years the Full Member is encouraged to participate for 2 months at one of international member Ecovillage Full Member can build or have home on lot site (Studio, 1 BR, 2 BR or 3 BR) Full Members have full decision-making rights in Council and Committees Full Members abide by all Source Ecovillage agreements and policies, as outlined in documents, Council Decisions, and committee decisions. Contribute 1500 Source Hours (or their monetary equivalent) in the first ten years of membership, with fifty hours a year minimum. Full Members pay annual lease fees and assessments. These include (currently): Source Dues ($XXX); Assessment to support paid contractors for maintenance and other administrative activities ($XXX); Facilities fees ($XX); Vehicle Fee, if you have a car on the land ($XXX); and tax assessment fee if you have built buildings on a home or business site. Additional food & upkeep fees if you eat at the Source Kitchen. Time Share/Renter            $2000.00 Annual Newsletter Monthly Email updates Visitor Packet 10% discount on Classes or Services Exploring members will be require to complete the following workshops Living and Learning the Ecovillage Way Consent Process Conflict Resolution Jamaican History and Culture Ecovillage Reading List Time Share Member will required to volunteer 8 hours total for every week stay Time Share filed a Letter of Intention to become a Time Share Member to Source Board. Time Share filed a resume or outline of educational and work experience (current skills, talents and work status. Time Share members can stay for up to 1 month at the Source Ecovillage.  Must have proper Visa and Permit from the Jamaican Government.  Receive comments from the Board and membership on the membership process Accepts the decision of the Board (with membership input) regarding their involvement with Source Ecovillage, including a recommendation: Notifies the Board of their decision to either withdraw from membership consideration, or, proceed with an application for Full Membership Day Member                $20 Monthly email updates Basic Welcome Packet Access to Source Ecovillage Gardens Access to Free/Open Classes-Yoga, Tia Chi Access to Source Library with Supervision Garden Member            $120 Monthly email updates Basic Welcome Packet Access to Source Ecovillage Gardens Access to Free/Open Classes-Yoga, Tai Chi Pays an annual fee toward garden supplies Garden Members will work minimum of 100 hours per year Receives produce from the Source gardens.
