Terms and Conditions
The Earthbag Cabin at The Source Farm is one of the first Earthbag/Super Adobe Structures in Jamaica. The Earthbag Cabin was built in 2007-2008 by a number of Source Farm Members, Work Exchangers and the Johns Town Crew of Construction Workers. The Earthbag was paid for by a number of investors who funded the building as a Time Share.
We Thank All The Time Share Members for making this building possible.
If you are visiting the Earthbag and have the opportunity to stay in this building there are some things you must note or be aware of.
- Water in the Cabin-Shower- There are two showers in the bathroom, the wall shower is supplied by the city water pressure and should be used whenever possible. The other shower coming from the ceiling is supplied by the gravity system i.e. the 400 gallon tank on the roof. When using this shower please use the military style shower system; which is on off, on off.
- Water for Drinking- There is a water filter system in the kitchen area. Please ask one of the Source Farm Residents how to use the system.
- Lock the Doors- Please keep both doors locked
- Windows- Please tilt or close the bathroom side window when not in Cabin because that is the predominant side it rains. Most often it rains from the East.
- Lights- As of Oct 7, 2009 the electricity officially hooked up the Cabin. It is important to turn off all lights that are not in use.
- Foods- Maintain high standards of hygiene in the kitchen. Do not leave food items out because of ants and other insects.
- Breakage- Most of the items currently furnished in the Cabin belongs to Nicola & Chaz. Often folks stay in the Cabin and something is broken. We ask you to inform us and repair or replace the item. We try to make the Cabin as comfortable as possible for our Time Share Members, Guest and Visitors.
- Cabin Tours- Since the Cabin is unique, people often occasionally will drop in unannounced for a mini-tour. We ask you to keep the Cabin tidy.
- Any physical signs of Ganja or other illegal drugs will result in expulsion from the Farm.
- The Quiet Hours start at 11:00 PM
Welcome & Thank You
